Missing Podcast Episodes

I’ve recently been digging through my own personal podcast archives, after being told that TalkShoe has deleted most of their RSS feeds. That means that older Radio Free Caemlyn episodes and all of Marble Operator are no longer available to download on that site.

So my reaction was to drop my own files to Google or DropBox or Box or something somewhere (probably the Internet Archive) to make them permanently available somewhere. I started digging through my backup drive and notice that I have a lot of episodes missing.

Here’s a rundown of what I do not have:

I have nothing from The RaT Project, but I’m not too upset by that.

From Radio Free Caemlyn, I’m still going through the files, but I only have episodes 1-102 and 112 of Friday Night Trivia. I also have episodes 196 and 197 (the final two episodes). This means that episodes 103 through 111, and 113 through 195 are missing from the archives. I’m missing around 90 episodes of Friday Night Trivia, and they’re all from the back half, meaning all the better episodes are gone.

Marble Operator isn’t so badly hit, because it didn’t have as many episodes, but there are missing episodes there, too. I’m missing episodes 14 through 47, episode 49, episodes 54 through 60, and episodes 68 through 97 of Marble Operator.

All of these episodes are still listed on their respective TalkShoe pages, but TalkShoe has apparently deleted their local files, meaning you can’t actually download them from there. I’m working on making what I have of these podcasts available elsewhere (again, probably over on the Internet Archive). If you have any of these episodes, please let me know; I’d like to have complete archives once more.

The Marble Operator Archives

Marble Operator is a podcast I began in mid-2011 as a result of wanting to hear discussion of the YouTube series “Marble Hornets” in podcast form, but failing to find anything beyond a few episodes of an already-ended podcast called “Slender Nation”.

The show was hosted on the website TalkShoe, a site that allowed for conference calls that were broadcast live. Of late, the Marble Operator archive there has been killed, but luckily I managed to have not deleted my own personal archives of the show. I’m currently in the process of migrating the archives over to the Internet Archive. Here I’ll collect the links to the episodes.

My own personal archives are incomplete. Missing episodes are either somewhere on my backup drive and I can’t find them or on backup drives I no longer have access to.
