I’ve finally obtained a copy of the ROM for the All Night Nippon version of Super Mario Bros.. If you’ve not heard of it, it’s a version of SMB made back in 1986 as a promotional game for the All Night Nippon radio show in Japan. The game was only released in Japan for the Famicom Disk System, and is quite a rare find.

Here’s part one of my five-part Let’s Play on this game, wherein I go all the way through, from stage 1-1 to 8-4, showing off all the differences from the original SMB to this version.

Tomorrow night on Friday Night Trivia, the focus shifts to word puzzles. Join in at TalkShoe ID 72402 at around 9:20PM EST.

I’ve not got the first 5 parts done and ready to be posted, so be on the lookout for further entries soon. You can stay up to date by subscribing to my YouTube channel.

Both parts of my Ultima: Exodus Let’s Play have been posted. I don’t finish the game in those LPs, but I might return to this at some point and show how the game ends.

I’ve finished my first Let’s Play, and all six parts have been posted to YouTube. I had to redo the first part, though, owing to problems with me figuring out the best and quickest way of editing together my video and audio files.

But here it is, part one:

The other five parts are also posted. I’m in the midst of uploading my two-part overview of the NES game Ultima: Exodus for the NES.
